Why nmp command is not found?

2945 views node.js

I am trying to follow this tutorial. It says that

Once, you have created it, go to your terminal, access this directory and initialize your Node.js app with:

npm init

However, when I type in npm init, there is a error.

-bash: nmp: command not found

What steps I should take to get things working?

answered question

You mistyped the command: nmp != npm

Try installing node.js again

First, test everything well installed Test Node: To see if Node is installed, open the Windows Command Prompt, Powershell or a similar command line tool, and type node -v. This should print a version number, so you’ll see something like this v0.10.35. Test NPM: To see if NPM is installed, type npm -v in Terminal. This should print NPM’s version number so you’ll see something like this 1.4.28 If everything was well installed and there was still a problem. Remove node.js completely and reinstall it
